Every year in this season many patients ask my advice on how to prepare themselves for the cold season.
I don’t want here to suggest any commercial product that today is available and tomorrow is maybe away from the market (unfortunately in Europe it happens quite often). Today I want to give you a powerful natural remedy that you can produce by yourself at home.
It is a low cost recipe that boosts immune system and can be used either for prevention or for treatment of winter diseases. Beside that is also a good-tasting drink.
INGREDIENTS
Fresh ginger: 8/9 oz (200/250 grams)
Dried parsley: a coffee spoon
1 liter water
Honey: a table spoon
Using a mixer smash ginger. Put it into a pot together with water and parsley and take to boil. Lower the flame and simmer for 20 minutes. Filter and add honey.
Prevention of cold: drink 1 cup per week until April
Treatment of a cold: drink 1 cup more times per day (max 4 times) during more days
N.B. the same ginger can be used to prepare a second drink, then must be discarded being the root exausted (but is very good as a fertilizer for plants)
